KoSIT

The Coordination Office for IT Standards (KoSIT) is an organization that supports the German IT Planning Council by coordinating the development and implementation of IT standards for data exchange in public administration.

Its role includes shaping the legal and organizational framework for electronic invoicing within the German public sector. In this context, it is responsible for translating the existing CEN standard into a national standard, known as XRechnung.
